Wildfire smoke can trigger asthma flare-ups—even from miles away. Here’s how to protect your lungs this season:

• Check the Air Quality Index (AQI) daily and limit outdoor time when it’s elevated
• Stay indoors with windows/doors closed and use a HEPA air purifier if possible
• Avoid outdoor exercise when air quality is poor
• Wear a well-fitted N95 mask if you must be outside

• Keep your maintenance inhaler as directed by your physician.  Have your rescue inhaler with you and use it early if symptoms start

Simple steps can make a big difference in preventing asthma attacks during smoke season.
